We are a local charity (established in 1961) that offers Community and Voluntary sector Support and promotes local voluntary and community action.
We exist to encourage innovation and co-operation in the voluntary sector, to aid communication between this sector and the local statutory and public sectors, and to ensure that the voice of the voluntary sector is heard.
We do this by providing our member groups with information, advice, networking and learning opportunities, support and development services.
Ann Jansz is the Chief Executive for Stevenage CVS.

She has strategic management of the organisation, and manages a staff team that works in group - or one-to-one sessions with organisations, offering training, advice and support. Ann attends networking meetings and committees, and represents CVS on partnerships locally and countywide. She manages a number of projects for CVS such as the Volunteer Car Scheme and is currently developing a shared resource centre for Stevenage with the Citizen Advice Bureau Counselling Centre, and Age Concern.
